APDA is looking for 100 Portable Diagnostics Stakeholders to join us on Capitol Hill to advocate on behalf of our portable diagnostics industry.

What:  APDA Capitol Hill Fly-In

Who:   Portable X-ray Company and IDTF Owners, Executives and industry stakeholders.   That includes APDA members, APDA Associate Business Members, as well as non-member companies and their representatives. 
APDA is hosting an event for all industry stakeholders to participate in meetings with Members of Congress and staff from your home state.  This is a unique opportunity to tell our stories, educate Members and staff on the important role our industry plays in health care and build key relationships directly with those in Washington that can help make a difference with our current reimbursement challenges and lay the foundation for our future policy goals to ensure the continued success and viability of our industry.

APDA does not have a guaranteed room block at any of these hotels.  Once the hotel is sold out, APDA can't get additional rooms.  Please feel free to choose the hotel of your choice.

This link will show you the route the shuttle bus takes.  There are five stops besides the one just below CGA offices (800 Maine Ave).  Some alternate hotel options that are near shuttle stops include: Hyatt Place Washington DC/National Mall; Citizenm Washington DC Capitol Hotel; Holiday Inn Washington Capitol-National Mall; and the Hilton Washington DC National Mall/The Wharf
Free shuttle stops are at the L-Enfant Metro Station, so you can consider using the Metro to come over from Pentagon City/Crystal City, Virginia (which has a lot of hotel offerings too) or other parts of DC.  L-Enfant is a major transfer point for the Metro.  The Orange, Silver, Blue, Yellow, and Green lines all pass through L-Enfant.  Here is a link to the Metro Map in case it is helpful.  L’Enfant has one of the big bullseye marks on it.  Please allot extra travel time if you select a hotel option away from the immediate vicinity of the CGA office.

2-5pm - APDA Board Meeting 
5:30 - 8pm - Welcome Cocktail Reception, Registration & Dinner
Wednesday - May 8th
7:30am -   Breakfast and Final Instructions
9am - 6pm - On the Hill - transportation and lunch on your own.
6pm - 8pm - Cocktail Reception and Recap of the Day
Thursday - May 9th
7:30am - Breakfast
9am - 2pm - On the Hill - transportation and lunch on your own. 
  • All Capitol Hill Visits will be arranged in advance.  Please provide the specific states in which you operate, as well as the specific congressional districts in which you operate if not covering the entire state. This information needs to be provided at registration. 
  • All meals and meetings will be held at the Cornerstone Government Affairs office at 800 Maine Avenue, SW

  • During our Tuesday or Wednesday evening event (TD), we will be extending invitations to Representatives from both political parties asking them to address our conference to provide remarks on the current environment in Washington and provide insights on how that effects our industry and federal initiatives.
    Plan to arrive and be checked into your hotel by 5 pm on Tuesday, May 7th, so you can join the dinner reception at 530pm.
    Please plan your departure flights to be available for meetings on Capitol Hill all day Wednesday and through 2pm on Thursday, May 9th. 
**CGA will do their best to group meetings together as closely as possible, but we are subject to what is available and offered by congressional offices.  Please note to anticipate pockets of down time on Capitol Hill, with 30 minute meetings scattered throughout either or both days


  • Registration is $275 per person.
We ask that you register as soon as possible to provide CGA the needed time to set up and coordinate the visits with your representatives.  
We would love for all of our Associate Business Members to support our lobbying efforts in D.C. this May by joining us for Capitol Hill visits with our US representatives in support of the portable diagnostics industry.  Your participation is valuable and demonstrates that our industry has a broad impact beyond just the portable diagnostics providers.
